Who needs to be specific? Ask a specific question, get a specific answer. Ask a general question....sorry if it bothered you.
Samba is the thing for file sharing. Read the material at www.samba.org; although, I think most Linux distros should come with it. For DHCP, Linux should do it itself. Look for a program called dhclient. If all else fails, check your config files, like /etc/rc.conf, or something under /etc, maybe a folder /etc/rc. Generally there is where you might find the files used to initialize your NIC. Type in "DHCP" instead of an IP address, Linux should scan the horizon for DHCP servers, find your router, get an IP from it, and you're good to go.
