form question.

Hi.

I made a form, I want to be able to hit the enter key for a new line, it submits the text into the mysql, but when i display the text on a page it looks like this:

1 2 3 4 5

i want it to automatically do

1
2
3
4
5

when in hit enter .. just like here when typing a sentence in the forums.

i would need a javascript to make it do a <br/> ??

PHP has a build in function called nl2br() that accomplishes what you want

thanks, nl2br(); worked perfectly..

one more question, is there a way to allow an apostrophe in a javascript? for instance, if I put "can't" in a javascript i get error, any ideas on a work-around?

You have to escape apostraphes with the escape character \
