error help!

I tried to open a couple of PHP scripts on my webserver (IIS 5.0) They kept having erros like this!:

mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in

What is the problem, is it something with my INI file or is it something with my whole installation? Help Please!

your query probably has something wrong with it. That's generally my experience from that error. Can you post your code?

i dont think its the query's problem, because i tried the code on another server and it worked, also there are many many many errors showing up, I dont know why, I just reinstalled IIS and PHP so I do not know what the errors are showing up, the most recent one was :
Notice: Use of undefined constant ID
Should I reinstall PHP? or MYSQL? or IIS?

There's a line in your php.ini file that looks like this

error_reporting = E_ALL

change it to

error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE

That'll solve the problem.

what does that do? does that solve any of the errors? I mean, Ive been getting so many! It never was like this before, do you know what the problem is? Thanks for reponding

The problem is what you ahve your error reporting set to. I'm not to familiar with the innerworkings, it's just the reporting that it's set to. But I had this same problem when I configure PHP on my comp and was able to solve it by changing the error reporting.

also, i guess, this time when I installed PHP, i tried to have it automatically configure for IIS, but it said something about MISSING OCX Controls, what is wrong with that?

ehhhh . . . I'm not much of an expert with PHP installations and web servers, so I can't help you there.
