Maybe i wasn't really clear on that...

What i need is this:

In order to display (for instance) 43 results, i need 5 pages, if i have a limit set to 10.
To display the last 3 results.

I have previous and next links. Next will add 10 to the offset, meaning where the search will start in the database.

In this case, you can click 4 times on the next link, but the fifth time, the start will be 50, which does not exist.

Yes, basically i want that, and half of it works.
Thinks go wrong when the end of the result reaches, like, when there are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 9 results left.
Starting at a position 50, when there are 49 results, is a problem

that's when the other 9 results should be displayed without getting an error.

I hope i am making sense here..

try the code that i posted in that other thread. it's been tested, 100% commented, and works with no errors.

It works fine, i changed all the variables to be able to use the script, but the script reads all records and then divides it by whatever i set my limit to, in other words, 100 results will result in 10 pages, but what if i limit my search to 10? which i do.

How does that relate to the script?

then you have no need for more pages. if you limit your search to 10, and you want ten results per page, you will only have one page of results. What do you need a pagination script for?

k, solved the problem, changed the variable names here and there in he script (the nav script) according to my search script and all works well, just needed to see the logic in there🙂

One thing though; when the results are less than 10 (in my case), it says: Results 1 to shown.

Will change that...

Got a new question!

What if 10 people are simultaneously adding stuff to my (soon to come) shopping cart, how will i know which item clicked belongs to who? Session? (Have never worked with it btw). Just thought of that today. I was planning to create a new database called 'cartbase' or something like that, and add all the items in there. Got any ideas on that subject?

The code in that post works. It's been tested by a lot of different people. Maybe you changed the variable names or something. It's probably a small error.

As for Paypal, I have never written code that works with it.

Do you know anything about handling multiple users? i mean, figuring out who is who when there are numerous people on your site?

if they're logged in. You could get their IP address if they aren't logged in. If you're using sessions though, you can have a field in your db called online, if they're online (or their username is registered as a session) set it to true, if they're not set it to false. I've never done it, but it's something along those lines.

looks pretty good, the only thing is the loading time seems kind of slow, and I'm not sure how much I like the blue with the brown. But at the same time i really like the scrolling text and the fading image on the home page.

WILL take that into consideration.
The slow connection is due to chello's low upstream. Gonna change soon to Demon (Amsterdam). They have a minimum upstream of 32k/s (Actually i don't know what your dl speed is..)
