I am trying to connect to an ipswitch iMail POP3 server (ver 6.06 with hotfix installed) from a PHP application. When I issue the imap_open I get the following errors:
Warning: Retrying CRAM-MD5 authentication after (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Retrying CRAM-MD5 authentication after Invalid userid/password (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Retrying CRAM-MD5 authentication after illegal command (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Retrying CRAM-MD5 authentication after authentication exchange failed (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Can not authenticate to POP3 server: authentication exchange failed (errflg=2) in Unknown on line 0
The same software connects happily to many other POP3 servers.
Any clues?
