Brief history. I took a folder of corporate images and ran them through adobe photo shop 'image gallery' to make htmls out of them. Then ran them through a search and replace program to add background, header, footer, order form, search engine friendly tags. Within 2 hours I had a completed www.signspecialist.com/decals/logos2/ (6,000 html files -that started out as 6,000 images) With many more thousands of htmls coming soon. But now how do they search through all these thousands of images? Idea: add a site search that has thumbnails.
How to do that. I'm not a programmer so this may not be exact
Use a standard 'search site' script but also have it look for an image associated with (or call on by) the page to displayed. Once image is found another script open image file, resizes, saves, displays thumbnail with text link. Ideally having the look of ditto.com
There are scripts that do the search. There are scripts that do the thumnailing. But nobody has but them together (except of course ditto.com)
Some points that may help. In the folders to be searched, there is only one image associated with each html - everything else is sthml. Should be easy to have it 'find' If not, do what ditto appears to do: find the largest image file in html or find the image in the html that has same name as search - then have the script 'thumb' that image
Server allows image manipulation.
I DONT want to have to open manually each of the 6,000 files and add a specific tag for that page (plus the many more to be added soon)
Please respond with price and time frame to completion
Thanks for any help
