Array type question...

Is it possible to search through the variables in an array and look for a particular word within each variable ?

I.e.

$Array= jim jones, bob blunt, craig colonel

I want to know if "Craig" appears in the list....

I can pull out each item using foreach, but don't know how to search within the variable.....

Any ideas ?

Something like the "LIKE" function of SQL would be perfect....

one way I could think of is looping through the array using strstr() or stristr().

or you could use preg_grep() right away, I think this actually might be faster.

Used Preg_match instead - but you pointed me in the right direction.... cheers...
