php+INTERBASE , ?

people, i really cannot understand how to normaly instal interbase with php

i have installed apache+mysql+php

and now i had installed interbase, in php.ini i uncommnet interbase module

ibase_functions my php knows, but always i get the message

unavaiable database /...... what this mean, in my ibconsole program i can normaly create gdb and insert or edit records , but why php cannot connect to gdb database
