I am trying to find a app to do personal webspace for my users. I have looked at PhPWebHosting, now I havent been able to look at it, or dload it. But does anyone know of anything like this?? Also how about a online html editor??? Thanks guys
PS. I need to be able to lock a user based on space and bandwidth used(the second is not really importand)
no, you are missing the point, I run my own server. I already have all the space and hardware I need, I need the app to run my personal web space for my users. I need something pretty automated. And free is REALLY GOOD!! I have already maxed out my site fund twice. So if i can get something for free even if it doesnt have many features I will settel for it, I will go for the features when it is bringin in some ca$h

well, what I want is something along thoes lines, but not quite that big. Now when I am talking about phpwebhosting, i dont mean the site, I am talking about phpgroupware project. All I really need is a php app that makes the account adds the dir for the users, and things like that.

he likes it very well, says its easy to use and with minimal configuration, i however haven't seen or used it, so i am only relaying a message, cuz i asked him via email before i sent you the link, hope it works for you though, let us know how it goes
well, glad to know that someone likes it. Yeah I am uploading to my server now so we will see how it goes and I will post back about how it works, and I know I will have trouble adding it into my config. But like your sig says

o well then why bother? windows hosting sucks _ no offence but if you are gonna run server you might as well use the software thats made for it, not some half ass job made by a microsoft programming team using Visual Basic 1.0

Well, I kinda like windows. But the main reasons, I am really not that good with linux, and I have a LOT of apps that i run on windows.
well using the computer has a home computer as well as a server is a bad idea. very slow.

well format it and stick red hat on it and download plesk (plesk has an auto installer btw) and it installs EVERYTHING php apache and the plesk server admin etc. windows hosting is not the way to go.
well, you are going to laugh when I tell you what the main reason I use win,
I mainly use it to use my email server Mdaemon
and I use it a lot for MSSQL.
Now, I have looked for a really good email server for linux, but I just havent found anything I like. do you know any good email servers??? also VPN and Terminal, I travle a lot and need good access to the server, so I really love terminal services, and use vpn alot, now i do remember seeing a vpn libary in there somewhere, but I never tried it out.
well aside from all the m$ bashing, did you look at the other web hosting tools on the hot scripts site, in the php section, they may work better for you
yup, I would looked at every one on the site, they are mostly little scripts for setting up warcraft teams. Also managed to get phpgroupware, well that looks like a waste of time.
