$_GLOBALS['var_a'].........?

$_GLOBALS['var_a'] = true;

Is this realy a "global" array as $POST, $GET and $_REQUEST ?
If it is, is it safe to use ? and wil it work when "globals = off" ?

First of all, it's $GLOBALS, not $_GLOBALS;

Secondly, yes it is a superglobal.

Thirdly, yes, it is safe because it does not have anything to do with register_globals.

If register_globals is off, than variables are not extracted from $GET, $POST, etc.
