coockies/sessions?

Hello out there,

I have just migrated from RedHat 7.0, apache 1.3.20, php 4.0.5 to RedHat 8.0, apache 1.3.27 and php 4.3.0

On my new RedHat 8.0 machine I have:
- apache 1.3.27 with php 4.3.0
- apache 1.3.20 with php 4.0.5

I can start both Apache versions (not the same time), and phpinfo() gives me the right output.
The DocumentRoot is still the same.

When I start my login.php, enter my name and password, nothing happens in the new (apache 1.3.27, php 4.3.0)environment.
In the old environment (apache 1.3.20, php 4.0.5), I get the next form.
I think, it has something to do with sessions and coockies.

any suggestions??

There was a change to PHP from 4.23 onwards me thinks.

You have to access variable like

$HTTP_POST_VARS['var']

or

$HTTP_GET_VARS['var']

depending on your method, or something similar. You could also use $POST / $GET
