help: replacing text in a txt file and saving as a different file....

Hi,

I am having some trouble working with a txt file. I cant find a good tutorial on this but ehres what I want to do:

1) Open test.txt
2) Replace the word 'track' in the txt file with the word 'test'
3) Save as test.php

Anyone know how to do this?

1) Use the file functions fopen, fgets, or if you're using PHP 4.3, file_get_contents.
2) Use str_replace
3) Just write the file again using fwrite or fputs
