I've been working on this a couple weeks now and I keep having the same problem, the cookies are not being read when i come back to the page. Can someone look over this and tell me what im doing wrong. The sessions are working fine and the cookies are being set because ive tested them by echoing them on another page when i move between pages but when i close the browser and return it will not read them.

well, you must assign a value and an expiration time for the cookie...
// this cookie will expire in 1h setcookie("CookieName","CookieValue",time()+3600,"/");

they do get set with an expiration time in the auth function
and ive tried echoing there values when i log in and that works but when i leave and come back 3 seconds later the cookies are non existant
