Site works only on one computer?

Hi - I just finished making a user forum site where people can come to post messages. The weird thing is, though, when I go to the website where it's posted, everything works great from my computer, which happens to be the one where I developed it. However, when someone tries to post from another computer, it doesn't work. It gives them the "unable to post" error I specified for cases where the series of MySQL commands won't work. Any ideas on why this might happen?

See what it is other people are trying to post. See if they can post exactly what you have done successfully. Is there a length on the string that gets copied to the database?

Youre right! I figured out that only short posts works. I don't know the exact character length that fits, but when larger blocks of text are posted, it gives me the error. Short pieces work fine. Do you know of any way to fix this? I changed the MySQL field types from "text" to "longtext" but it hasn't helped.

I just took a guess at the length thing. If the column is only setup for eg. 30 characters and you imput 50 characters, MySQL will accept the first 30 chars only and not return an error (I think). Check for special chars they might be inputting and look into the addslashes() function. The text field might have to be put through addslashes() before mysql can accept it.
