At present I am investigating the possibility of setting up a secure private account messaging service and I am looking for any advice or thought people may have on this matter.
Background:
The site itself is a financial institution where by people can log in and view a/c details, balances etc. However for security reason email is not an allowable format of communication. Obviously the site is being designed using PHP, and I am wodnering if their are any in built functions they would aid me in setting up this type of project ?
I want to set up an option so when the user logs into their account they can message the company (via a query tab) and inturn the company may reply to this person via the interent in such a manner that the person may view this reply only when they have logged into their account. ie when they log in they will have a new tab saying unread message from customer serivces etc.
Does anyone have any thought or suggestion on what may be required to undertake such a task ? As I am designing this site myself I am looking to sub contract some of the work out so any suggestion or if anyone is interested please let me know.
