Picture Galleries: What do you recommend?

I am running a website for our fraternity and we have over 250 pictures we have taken over the past 3 years organized into folders by year and function for instance:
2002 > Formal > Picture1.jpg etc...

I am trying to find a program/script to use to organize pictures by category and make thumbnails on the fly. I want to be able to modify it some too. My server runs PHP 4.0 but doesnt give me access to install other libraries... anyone recommend a good script?

I don't know of any, but hotscripts.com would be a good place to check if you haven't already.
