Postgresql for Windows

There's a beta of postgresql in native windows format, no need for cygwin anymore. I don't use windows anymore myself, but for you folks that do, it's there to try now.

I hope works out for them, although I don't have a MS platform to try it out on.

This part of the instructions caught my eye:

"The name of the directory does not really matter but choose a name without spaces if possible."

Umm, what if that's impossible?
