Email, can that really be done

Alright, i've done some extensive research regarding emailing and php. Its supposed to be increadibly easy if you are hositng your own website and have the dns controlls. And if you know the smtp info of your outgoing server then you can aswell. however just because you know your smtp doesn't mean it will work, you have to find a smtp server that doesn't require you to pop before smtp. Well is there a place i can get such an account, that doesn't require pop before smtp. or what other options do i have of getting my email to work?

Yup, because of security and spamming, many servers require you to pop before smtp, in fact, I dont think you will find such a server because it goes against several CTNA guidelines. You could of course run your own de-securitised mail server although it wouldnt be long before you got some residential spammers 🙂.

Isnt their anyway you could check pop before smtp but not actually use it?

So is there ever going to be a way where php can pop first and then smtp? are they working on such functionality? Or is there any other tool out there to do so?

Its not in the limitation of PHP, its the mail server. They require you to pop before you smtp, as I said above, if you could find a very very unsecure server, you could easily change the PHP to pop and then end.
