Is there a way to upload a file with out using the file type with a web form??

Ok, then here is the big question:

Is there a way to run a script that will fake it?

Basically, I am having an html file uploaded, after it is uploaded I am "scanning" the content for image links (they are set as local i.e. m:\files\pic.gif) then pic up the local file localtion and upload the files.

you can't if this is what you mean, include a value in the browse button, and that is the only way that i know how to upload something, maybe someone else can be of some assistance 🙁

The only way is to use a form, for sure. Otherwise, web developers could upload any file from the user's computer, including personal files (password files, company's internal documents, etc), and that would be a pretty big security risk 🙂
