help!

Alright, I am making a walkthrough script but I am getting an error,

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in D:\www[url]www.flashstand.com\walkthroughs\index.php[/url] on line 120

line 120 is this,

while (list($name) = mysql_fetch_array($result))

So,

$sql = "SELECT name, link, type FROM walkthrough ORDER BY name"; 
$result = mysql_query($sql, $db);
$thisAlpha = $alpha[$ptrAlpha];
while (list($name) = mysql_fetch_array($result))

Whats wrong? it displays the letters but not the database information and why is it giving me that error?

Some problem with your query probably.

$result = mysql_query($sql, $db)
or die (mysql_error());

Ok i did that, and i got it to work but how do i define the varibles i get from the database? link and type?

$result = mysql_query($sql, $db);

You already have a connection to the database so you don't really need the "$db" in there. Try it without.

hmm...Try using mysql_fetch_row and see if that works.
