Date sorting

How can I dispaly my DB table results when sorted by month?

Dates are in the following format:
(Year, Month, Day)
2003-01-01

I understand the basics, but how can I just pull out the partial list by month?

I apoligize for such a simple question but I am a newbie!

Assuming you have the correct data type, you could use the BETWEEN keyword. Look up your database vendors website for how to use it.
