making a database field link

Ok guys! I'm a newbie on php so pls help me!
So i have a database with multiple fields. One of them is 'web page'! What should i do to make this fields components links. For ex. i have www.whatever.com into the field. Then i click on the field i wanna open the url.

I hope you understand what i wanna do and to find a solution!

You are going to have to do the work to parse the field into a valid HTML link before you'll be able to click on it. So when you get your data back out of the database you need to take that field and add the HTML to it before you display it on the screen.
