'next 10 hits' on a php driven search engine

what I've done is created a list of businesses and a engine to search them. But I want to add a button that lets you view them 10 at a time so you don't have to sift through the all the hits you may get (up to 950!).

I can't quite seem to figure out how to do this, if anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it.

it wasn't too much appreciated by darknuke as you can see by his last post but it might be helpful to you, as you can see form the liberal use of printf() it was ported from python
