SQL query

Hi,
I have a field - settling_day in db which contains data like

'1/E 2/E 3/E'
'2/E 6/E 12/E'
'3/E 12/E'
'1/E 10/E 11/E 12/E'
.....

and so on.

The data means make payments to the customers on the last day of the corresponding month.

I want to filter the records based on condition like
all customers who have due in '2' month.

The problem is if I write a query
'select * from cust where settling_day like '%2/E%'
it returns records whick match example 4 above (...12/E)

Any suggestions/ideas appreciated.

Try this query:

select * from cust where concat(' ',settling_day ,' ') like '% 2/E %'
