grabbing the name of a file upload?

hi there!

i am thinking about creating a little "game of the month" publishing system for my website.

Its pretty much gonna work that way that I upload the files, and the PHP autogenerates the folder, which should be names after the html file.

So, my questions is. First. Is there any PHP function for creating new folders? And can i "grab" the file name from a file upload form?

To create a directory, use mkdir(): http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mkdir.php

and the $_FILES array will have your file name.

$_FILES['name'] IIRC.

CORRECTION (about an hour later):

$_FILES['whatever']['name']

where 'whatever' is the name you used in the form element for the upload field. There's also a tutorial that will walk you through it, in the articles section.
