creating a restricted form

I would like some advice before I start trying to create a form. I am hoping I can set restrictions
eg out of 5 choices you can only pick 2

Is this a fairly simple script?

If you want it to provide immediate feedback to the user with a dialog box or something, then it's not something that can be done in PHP. You'd need to write or find some Javascript.

yes but in your php that is called by the form, you could have a bit of code in it that works out how many boxes were checked, and if it's more than two then it sends them back to the form (with a note next to the checkboxes saying something like "ONLY SELECT TWO PLEASE!"). That wouldnt be too hard and would have exactly the same effect
