linux problem

i tried to install linux on my comp, but i cant login! i typed in the password for admin and then even created a 2nd user. I am using red hat linux 7.2. Please someone help.

I unfortunately, do not know how to solve your problem. I know some folks in here may be able to, but you may have better luck at JustLinux (formerly linuxnewbie.org)

You should probably boot to single user mode to change the PW:

1. Reboot
2. During the lilo boot loading sequence hit any key to interrupte
3. You should have a cursor at this point
4. Type.......... linux single
5. type /usr/sbin/mount -a
6. type passwd
7. enter a new password
8. type /usr/sbin/shutdown -r now

You shoudl be gtg.

Haven't done this in a while and this is off the top of my head. Hope this works. If not, go to google and search for "linux single user mode"
