dear friends,

this is a interesting problem.

when i login into my site, i want that one watch is started
and calculate time until i logout from the site.

i want this functionality without refresh the screen with the help of php.

suppose i say that this is user was work in site for 50 minutes.

so, how can it is possible??????

when you log in set a cookie name of $login_time = date("U") (which will give the UNIX timestamp)

THen when they log out, you can just do date("U") - $login_time to give you the number of seconds they were on the site for. (do a search for a previous thread which probably contained 3600 and my name, and you'll see how to turn that into minutes or hours etc)

you can let apache set a unique tracking cookie for each user and then set your LogFormat or CustomLog directive in httpd.conf to record it. if you use this technique you do not have to set a cookie yourself, apache does it for you. useful if you have static html pages or are using php pages from someone else. you need to set the cookie with the CookieName (requires mod_usertrack) directive in httpd.conf.

i want to display a clock on the page which is changed on each second.
