Well I tried the suggestion with putting the anchor first, before the variables and that made things worse. The php would not come up at all, only the html part of the page.
I don't know if this makes a difference but one of the variables is to switch on a case.
Here is the link that is passing the variables in the php. Keep in mind this is a snippet out of a pile of code, thus no echo statements or closing tags ";"
<a href=\"employment.php?what=view&jobNum=" . $jobNum . "#search\" target=\"_self\"> " . $jobNam . "</a></font></td>
In this link, the anchor does not work. However in the next link, the anchor works. Both these links are on the same page.
echo "<font size=\"2\" face=\"Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><a href=\"employment.php?what=list#search\">Back To List</a></font>";
Here is another dumb thing I noticed. On a different search page that I have, the anchor is working with two variables. Basicly the same variables. I don't get it... I am stumped.
