linux help!

hI,
I installed Linux, but I cant login! I entered the root password, i tried to login with :
login: su-
pass: ******

and

None of those work, the username i made during install was a regular one that you can add. I am using the Grub interface. I dont know what to do. What is the problem? It kept saying Authication Failed. I installed Linux Red Hat 7.2 as a server. Please, any help would be appreciated!

When you are logging on to the machine you can't use su as a username to get into root, su is a command to login as root once you are on the machine under a different user. Use root and then the password for root.

Keep in mind that linus is case sensitive. If you still can't get in, either reinstall or get a boot disk so you can reset the password (assuming you know your way around a U*IX system):
