PHPmyAdmin

I've installed PHPmyAdmin onto my server, but as soon as I try to run it, it comes up with the following error:

MySQL said:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

What does this mean?

What can I do about this?

Im pretty sure there is a config file you need to change a few things in before phpmyadmin is goin to work.

read the readme file or the install file. I cant remember on the top of my head the exact filename.
If that doesnt help. There is an install tutorial(Apache, mysql, php and PHPMyAdmin)

The error you got generally means MySQL isn't running.
