You may decide to use a datestamp instead, and update the time manually. It depends upon what you are trying to do. And that depends upon your DB table. So I can't give you any code, just maybe some pseudcode or ideas.
What type of record are you trying to update, e.g. what are its fields? When does this update happen, who or what initiates this event? What data field or fields are changing or being updated due to this event?
Again, it all depends upon what your DB table looks like and what you are trying to accomplish.
