Calculating day position in the month.

I've been trying to develop a function that will return the month day in any month, based upon these 3 params :

month, weekday, interval

For example, if I pass the function this :

getdate(4, 1, 1); // month - 4, weekday = 1 (Sunday), interval = 1

this should return (for 2003) "4/6" since April 6 is the first Sunday in the month (which also happens to be the start of DST in the U.S.).

I haven't found anything in the library to help with coding this, and I am racking my brains out for almost 3 days now trying to find a solution. If anybody already has one, I'd love to hear about it.
