Hello everyone!

I started PHP a few months back and love it sooo much!

Anyways i have been working on a flat file php forum for people who dont have database support, e.g mysql. You may think "but who has php without mysql?" and the answer is Loads of people.

FP-Forum ( Flat File PHP Forum ) is still beta but there is a working demo at http://www.onlinehoster.com/forum/index.php?view=1 . Please signup and test it out and post all comments, ideas and so on here.

I have put alot of effort into this forum but have also learnt alot while making it, the main thing i learnt is to comment on my work because the forum is sooo large now that when i look back on the code it takes me a fair bit of time to work out what and why i have done certain things.

This Seems Pretty Good to tell you the truth.
Now is a templating system being used at all.

You may also want to make if a file that is gonna be processing lots and lots of posts to create a new file after maybe 100kb or something just so it still loads fast.

[edited]I also went and signed up. Typing all garbage into the register form. And got thrown all these errors. Im not sure if you know about them but i suggest you get them fixed. Use the @ functions and make error Messages for it.

if you call a function

require('does not exist.php)

php will print an error to the screen

if you call this with an @

@require('does not exist.php')

php will neglect to show any errors

so you can have error reporting turned on in general but turn it off on a function by function basis for places where you could care less about the errorrs
