Theres nothing like having problems from the onset🙂 If I type in http://localhost/test.php Internet Explorer thinks it is trying to receive a file and then if I just tell it to go ahead and open it, Low and behold - Dreamweaver joins in on the fun and opens it for me.

Any hints - tips or ideas? I did notice the instructions say to place the php.ini file in the WINNT folder. Now I am running Win XP Pro and I assume it would go in the f:\windows directory since that is the partition I am using for XP.

Help is good and appreciated.

The other steps you will need to do (if you used the zip file to install php, which you should because it's less troublesome than the installer) should be outlined in the install.txt. I can't remember them off the top of my head but they involve registering .php with IIS to be parsed.
