I recently added a sound card to my linux workstation. When I booted linux it detected it flawlessly and installed it too.
However, when xwindows starts up I get this error message:
Sound server fatal error
/tmp/mcop-root is accessible owned by root
Initially it was saying mcop-root was not accessible and not owned by root. So I changed it's permissions. Now it gives the error message above. Can anyone make head or tail of what it is actually moaning about? Xmms and Noatun both refuse to start up so I figure soemthing somewhere is very wrong.
Greetings,
David.
