Drop Down List fron Another Table

I am sure this has been answered before but I cannot find the answer (probably using the wrong search terms)

I have an input form that has a drop down list and what I would like to be able to do is populate the items in the list with data from a fields in a mysql table.

Can this be doe? and if so how?
