I have been curious about this for a while now...
When you have large amounts of traffic, say 40,000 daily, what would be a better method of logging the visitor information?
Currently I have it dump to a raw text file and a script that runs every 5 mins that will process that dump into the database.
Is this a bad idea? Should I just use a mysql insert delayed constantly instead of every 5 mins?
