What the different between file extend with inc and ini
from php

the .ini file holds many pertinant details about the php installation and the resources that php may/can use to manipulate the system and files...should not be played with much

the .inc file are files that are included at runtime and are files that you have written to hold various other elements of the web application...could be headers/footers for the page... a common functions file etc...

when you access and .inc file directly from the url, most probably you'll be able to see the code written inside it just like a TXT file.
So, use .inc.php instead or just .php

.inc isn't dangerous if you have apache parse it as php, if you don't then people may be able to see your code and then i would use the suggestion from scoppc
