I am trying to save and open a file. This file has this type of caracteres

ŠÐÈÆŽ šðèæž

I am doing this from the browser
but when I try to open the file of course it does not works and the caracter are differents.

So, exist some function which can I save the scpecial caracters?
or what i must change in my system?

I have php V 4.2.2 and Red hat 8.0

If you get an ascii table of a web page and find your special characters on it. It will tell u the ascii value which u can use in your file open. i.e.

$fp = fopen ("../../23%445%.txt", a);

You enter the ascii value of each special character followed by a % (or it might be before, try both).

That should work
