I just installed php on my comp running win xp... i know, i know... anyways I can't seem to get $POST or $SESSION or any such global variables... can anyone help me.

What version of PHP do you have. If its 4.1 or lower you'll need to use
$HTTP_POST_VARS etc.
XP....one of the best opeating systems ever made! lot of people will gun it down, but I bet you they got one @ home 😃 . Like you said, check the ini file, to see whats cooking.
