Help needed

hello everybody,

I'm in need of some tips or advises or what ever you call it as with one of my php scripts.It sounds very simple for me and theoritcally, i think i'm clear.but, still, i could'nt figure out a nice way to fix my problem.

If somebody of you have got some free time, do you mind helping me.

well,

My question is, I'm showing some topics from a table.when you click on a topic, the corresponding sub-topic names and their article names are shown.

(For each topic there are many sub-topics and for each sub-topic there are many articles.)

Now, when you click on each article name, some text or image is displayed

(Ps: In the article table, there is a row called article_text where you store filename)

I'm done up to here.

In brief, click a topic, it shows you some sub-topics under which there are article names and when you a click on a article name, you can see some text.

ON TOP OF THIS ARTICLE TEXT, I WANT TO SHOW THE TOPIC NAME, THAT IS TO WHICH TOPIC IT BELONGS TO AND ALSO WITH A BACK BUTTON.

All i know is, that i want to make a reverse look up, that is the page which displays the article text has to look up for the sub-topic id and later back to the corresponding id.

How can i do this one??

I can show you my script until where I'm done.

The alternate way for this one is - since the article text which is shown is an html file, i can easily place the heading in it.But, i really dont want to do that in this way.because, imagine if there are 1000 article names and i have to go for each one and i've to add those lines.That is time consuming.

So, please try to help me.

minds_gifts - you are talking about a breadcrumb type scenario

so for example

home >> Articles >> Article1 >> Subarticle1 >> Item1 >> SubItem1

All of the above imply relationships with the one on the left and the right. By clicking on any of the words on the left of the last word then you'd be taken to that page.
