Verify if the email was sent

can I some how verify if the mail was sent, when I sent a mail using mail(.....);

what I want is when ppl send a mail to me, or recomand my site to someone, from my site, completing a form which contains "name" - "your_mail" - "dest_mail" is to recive a message after the send button is presed with "Your message has been sent" or your message has not been sent.

I dont think this is possible, because the mailerdeamon will take some time to return such a message.

u could try a simple if/else with the mail() as the condition...just echo a simple message on either side of the condition, seen it b4 but never tried it. obviously echo out message on the page you posted your form to.
