PHP problem?

Heah all.. I've been having some strange things happeneing recently.. and I can't find out where the progblem is.

I originally was just having the problem with coldFusion, but now It's happeneing with PHP too.

the problems I'm having is:
1) A php script will never Finish executing
2) A php script will terminate unexpedily

At first I thought it was CF, I reinstalled, didn't work.. then Inoticed it with PHP, upgraded to PHP 4.3 (I think it is).. That didn't help.

So I concluded it was the webserver.. So I upgraded to apach 2.0.44

But ti's still happening..

ANY ideas?

Webserver: Apache 2.0.44 (XP)
PHP: 4.3.0 (WinXP - ZIP)
php info uri: php info

Well the code for the php info page is:
<? phpinfo();?>

And that doesn't complete.. once I get that working... I'll move up in the world getting the rest working..

Since it's Windows 2k I'd look at the event viewer and check the application and system logs. See if anything is reporting there. I'd also look at the task manager under processes and sort it by memory and cpu to see if anything is using a lot of memory or cpu. If nothing is indicated by any of these steps I'd reboot. If all of this fails we've just surpassed my knowledge level of Windows sysadmin so I'd format and install unix 🙂 ... hopefully we have some more seasoned windows pros reading this thread.

Well I thought that too.. wanna hear the funny thing?

It works "mostly" okay on the Internal network, external visitors have a whole other story..

I'd love to move this box BACK to linux, but I am using MSSQL Server (Stored procedures and views)

So.. I know Linux can't run MSSSQL Server

I found the problem.. seems it was the webserver.. I downgraded my Apache from 2.0.44 to 1.3.27 (I think is the most current) and everything started working again, no garbage no hangs..
