PHP Problem?

Hey,

I have a script (EdgePanel support software), which is behaving very strangely. I know its not the script, because it works perfectly on another server, but this is what happens when I run it on mine.

In the install it asks for mySQL connection details. Whenever I press proceed, it just reloads the page. If I enter incorrect details it reloads the page with the invalid user message showing that it can contact the database.

Even after I installed it manually without the install script, whenever I tried to log in (to the client or admin side), the exact same thing happened.

I am at a loose end here. Does anyone know what it could be? I think it could be PHP related as I am not an expert when it comes to this, could it be a setting in my php.ini file?

Make sure the user you are trying to connect to the db with is allowed to access from the server you moved your script to. Also for future reference, just because something runs on one server doesn't mean it isn't flawed I've seen a lot of hacked scripts that run fine on a server because someone changed settings on the server to make garbage code work because they were too lazy to code properly.

Ty for your quick response 🙂. The user is allowed access, Ive double checked. With the server; I have tried running it on quite a few servers now, on all of which it works. As far as I know, it was professionally coded...... is there any PHP setting that could be causing this? I think there might be, I only installed PHP recently and havent changed much.

Still no luck. Ive tried to change some obvious php.ini settings but they dont seem to make a difference.
