Installing PHP 4.3.0 on Windows 2K and IIS 5

I am having problems with PHP 4.3.0, I had a previous version installed and it worked fine. When I try to enable php_mssql.dll or any from php.ini every php page will timeout. When none are enabled it works fine, other than the functions I need to use from those php_*.dll files. I am pretty sure I have the .dll files in the correct place but I might not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

If you used the windows installer instead of the binary/zip from php.net that's the problem. Remove php and get the zip to install it.

I have tried it both ways, but I have had no luck getting anything to work with the zip. I follow the instructions in the intall.txt but it never initializes, I am sure I am just not doing something correctly, so if anyone knows any info about installing PHP with the .zip file I would appreciate any help. I am installing it on a Windows 2k box with IIS 5. Thank You.

do you absolutely need iis or can you use apache, i am running win2k_pro/apache/mysql and it works flawlessly, i used the foxserv install, everyone says not to use installers with all there in there, i agreed til i found foxserv, it works perfect for a development server, for live sites i would still stick with linux
