with mail function can i only send one mail at same request or multiple mails in same time, because i tryed to send mail to multiple users but it only send it to one.

You can send an email to multiple reciepients. You just need to setup the To: or CC: or BCC: headers properly for the system that is sending the email.

c i dont want people know who else i send my mail to, so if i use to: it will show multiple, what i need to know is to send mail to multiple without anyone getting other prople email address

The Windows implementation of mail() differs in many ways from the Unix implementation. First, it doesn't use a local binary for composing messages but only operates on direct sockets which means a MTA is needed listening on a network socket (which can either on the localhost or a remote machine). Second, the custom headers like From:, Cc:, Bcc: and Date: are not interpreted by the MTA in the first place, but are parsed by PHP. PHP < 4.3 only supported the Cc: header element (and was case-sensitive). PHP >= 4.3 supports all the mentioned header elements and is no longer case-sensitive.

I'm not the sharpest knife around but I'd think you could:

$person1 = 'there@address.com';
$person2 ='there2@address.com';
$subject = 'Blah';
$message = 'Blah Blah';

mail($person1, $subject, $message);
mail($person2, $subject, $message);

Correct me if I'm wrong. Although Weedpacket's way is probaly better, personally I never caught on to that BCC thing :o

Yes jebster you could loop though each of your addresses and send an individual email to each of them. But this is a slow process and forces your code and the mail system you are using to to extra work. Sending to the BCC: (Blind Carbon Copy - meaning send to everyone but don't let them know I'm sending it to more than just them) means you only have to tell your mailer the message once and it will do all the work for you, which it is more than happy to do, and do well.

Ah, I see.

One question tho, will it show that it was sent BCC and just not show the other addresses or does it just look like a plan email?

Looks like a regular email sent directly to you. Try it out send the same email to yourself and a friend and see what is shown in the headers. You can do this with Outlook just start a new message and on the View menu select show Bcc and then enter the 2 addresses on that line and send the email.
