Am looking into alternatives as was suggested at the end of a different troubleshoot. But i thought i may as well ask about this.

I am running Redhat 8, php 4.2.2, mysql 3.23.54 and httpd 2.0.40-11

phpmyadmin/index.php brings up the main page no problem but if i click on any of the links i get "no file" error. Have looked through the documentation and see nothing about this error.

Anyone else had this problem and fix it? have tried with phpmyadmin 2.3.3pl1-php and phpmyadmin 2.4.0-rc1-php and both give me exactly the same problem.

Take a look in your phpMyAdmin directory for a file named config.inc.php or something.
Open that in your text editor and look for the line, 'Absolute URL' or something close to that...and type in the full URL to your phpmyadmin directory.
Chances are if that isn't correct, myadmin can't find the other files needed to run the queries.

ok i will give that a try.. have just started to use MySQL Control Center. but will let you know in an hour or so. just gotta finish up doing these tables.

thats a keeper.... it works. looks like now i can start to talk my freaky deaky php to it.. thanks mate. now i just gotta decided which one i prefer. Thanks again.

        i love gooooooold.

          No problem...glad it worked.
Some other programs that work well.

MySQL Front: It is like mysql control center, but for Windows.

TightVNC: Like PC Anywhere, but you can connect to the Linux box from Windows, with a new XSession. http://www.tightvnc.com

will have a look. just a question... your name Azazeal.. from the movie with Denzel Washington? great movie btw!

Heh...yes good movie...but I think the name was Azreal.

just looked it up. movie title that i could not remember was fallen. the things name was close to yours "Azazel" anyways thanks for the help.

Oh yeah...Azreal is that old Saturday Night Live character. Chris Katan played him, kind of a gothy thing.
