Invalid SQL NUM_ROWS?

$query = "SELECT * FROM users";
$rows = mysql_num_rows($query);

How would this be so?

Parse eror I get it this:

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /users/ionichost.com/kcnites/showmembers.php on line 6

Line 6 is the $rows query. Thanks in advance.

I did this very same thing yesterday, so I feel your pain.

Try this:

$query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users");
$rows = mysql_num_rows($query);

You need the "mysql_query()" function to pass the arguement to the "mysql_num_rows()" function.
