page stays as long as the new one loaded

Hi, I don't know if this could be solved with php or javascripts, but I'm asking anyhow.

My Problem is, when i click the link I see for a few seconds a white page and then the content. I would like to make the first page stay and then when all objects are there the next page should be loaded. I saw this by www.mercedes.com, but I have no idea haw to make the page stay as long as the new one is loaded.

Any ideas?

You'll be lucky to achieve this I think.

One hack is to load the page in frames then trigger the framed page to load itself in the main frame.

All graphics, html etc should be in the cache so it'll be instantaneous.

You could also pre-load your graphics.

Loading also depends on Internet conditions, server load and Internet connection so you may have to stick with what it does currently.
